I have been becoming more interested in possibly selling old jewelry for some extra cash. The price of gold has gone up quite a bit and I think that since pretty much everything that I have in my old jewelry box, I do not wear, I should make some money of it. My mother seems to think that I should hang on to every piece of jewelry that I ever had and give it to my daughters when they are older, like she did. I cannot imagine that my girls would want any of my old stuff, or my mothers or grandmothers for that matter.

I know that with the price of gold, there are lots of people that have been selling old jewelry lately because the price of gold could go down at any time. Then we would all be stuck with old ugly outdated pieces that are just quite worthless.

I think that the next time that I decide to sell old jewelry; I will not let my mother know about it. It is not like she really needs to know what I am doing anyway. If I want to sell old jewelry that belongs to me, then I think that I am old enough to make that decision.
